And, they're off!
Our team departed from Wheeling in the early morning hours today. Their first flight from Pittsburgh was short and uneventful (always a good thing in the air!). The next leg of their journey is the lengthy one--scheduled for over 13 hours in the air! Please keep our team and their flight crew in prayer throughout your day today. They are scheduled to leave a little after 10am, and to land around 1am (tomorrow!) our time. Also, please pray that their flight remains on schedule so that they can easily catch their third (!) and final flight into Nepal. That last layover is a relatively short one, so promptness of the previous flight is important. If all goes as scheduled, our team should be arriving in Nepal tomorrow morning around 4:30am (our time). That means that their travels will last more than 24 hours from the time that they left Wheeling today.
Thank you for your willingness, eagerness, and faithfulness to pray.
Please pray today for:
-endurance and calmness during travel
-safety while on the ground and in the air
-that the team will make their connecting flight to their final destination
-that all luggage and gear arrives with the team
-the families at home who have sent their loved ones
-the hearts of the Nepali people
UPDATE: Our team is on their second flight, and in the air! They left a few minutes early, which is a good start for their layover tomorrow. Gretchen tells me that the plane is fairly full, and shares these photos. Please continue to pray.
And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation." Mark 16:15
