Our team has just finished their first day of teaching, and what a day it has been!  They are encouraged and very positive.  They began their day with a hike down the mountain from their campsite to hold services, and followed with teaching by the men of the team.  During services, the men sit on one side, and the women on the other.  As you can see from the photos, attendance was good!

"Such a crowd of folks worshiping and praising with fervor.  Really wonderful..."  After services, the return to their camp was a bit of a challenge.  "There was a mountain to walk down on the way to [teaching].  1 mile straight down.  Home from [services], a climb straight up.  And up." 

Our team is thankful for temperatures that didn't feel like they reached the predicted high of 87 degrees, and for their good equipment.  They are also very grateful for "such a great crowd which has shown up for learning.  Today was a good beginning." 

A bit of a laugh: "This is Luke entertaining kids who wander into camp daily.  He taught them how to make all sorts of noises, which they showed off later during part of the teaching, and were promptly scolded by the Nepali interpreters.  Oops!" :)

Thank you for your precious prayers, FBC.  They are important, and our team very much appreciates them.  Please continue to pray without ceasing.

-the men as they continue to teach

-the ladies teaching (begins tomorrow)

-accurate translation (so far, so good!)

-continued health

-our team to deeply encourage their hosts

-safety as they ascend/descend rocky mountain paths

-the Nepali leaders and families with whom our team interacts

-the families of our team members

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns."  Isaiah 52:7
